UNITAS, a part of the Teikyo university group, has been a foreign language institution (English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean) since it was founded in 1970 as the first language school in Yamanashi prefecture. The Japanese Language School was started in April of 1983, after receiving approval from the ministry of Justice.We now have 12 UNITAS branches in Yamanashi and 3 branches in Tokyo. In April of 2007 we opened our new Japanese Language school, UNITAS Tokyo in Shinjuku-ku.

UNITAS Tokyo is located in Shin Okubo, only one stop from Shinjuku station which is referred to as the largest business, entertainment and shopping area in the Tokyo metropolis area. Therefore our school is located in a very international and dynamically diverse neighborhood filled with people from all over the world.

 UNIAS ENGLISH ACADEMY became the first language school in Yamanashi prefecture.

 Spanish, French, German courses started.
1983
 Japanese Language Department started. Ministry of Justice approval has been received.
1990
 Japanese Language Department became UNITAS JAPANESE LANGUAGE
SCHOOL. Became a member of the Association For the Promotion of
Japanese Language Education.
2007
 UNITAS LANGUAGE SCHOOL TOKYO starts.
