UNITAS Japanese Language School has established a basic policy for the protection of personal information under the Basic Policy on the Information Security, as well as complying with the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information," and will ensure that all staff members are fully aware of this policy. In addition, we will realize reliable management of personal information and provide continuous reassurance to customers and other providers of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "providers").

While establishing a management system for the protection of personal information in accordance with the actual conditions of our business, including customer information and personnel information, we will handle personal information appropriately and carefully in accordance with our internal rules and standards regarding the following:

Collection of Personal Information

When collecting personal information, the purpose of collection shall be made clear to the providers, and legal and fair means are used to the extent necessary to achieve that purpose.

Use of Personal Information

Personal information shall be used only within the scope of the purpose of collection for which the providers have given their consent.

Provision and Deposition of Personal Information

Personal information shall be provided or entrusted to a third party only within the scope of the purpose of collection for which the providers have given their consent. In the event that provision or entrustment of personal information is planned, the consent of the providers shall be obtained in advance.

Implementation of Safety Measures

Personal information is securely protected against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, leakage, etc., by clarifying the rules for handling personal information, ensuring that all staff members are familiar with them, and implementing the necessary safety measures. When improvements are required as a result of internal audits, security incidents, or requests from providers, corrective measures shall be promptly implemented.

Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, etc. of Personal Information

When a provider requests disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension/elimination of use, the request shall be responded within a reasonable period and extent.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Improvements

In handling personal information, we shall comply with laws, regulations, notices, and other rules applicable to the protection of personal information, and we shall continuously improve our handling of personal information to ensure its appropriate use.
